Service Description

Linkage counselling service is a non-profit Christian organization that offers affordable, professional counselling to the Chinese community. We are a team of professional counselors who are spiritually rooted in Christian faith and work in a team context to provide the highest quality of care to the community. All counseling session and any personal information about our counsellees are kept confidential according to BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA, 2004).

Our counselling services include:

individual counselling, couple cournselling, premarital counselling, family counseling, youth counseling and play therapy. We offer a variety of counselling support for a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, self-esteem building, personal growth, parenting etc.

We also offer a “Co-walkers” training program; single parent support group and different workshops.

Session Rates

Indiv./couple/child/family $ 70 per session/hour
Premarital counselling $ 80 per session (1.5 hours)

Session with Intern therapist $ 40 per session/hour

Linkage counseling subsidy program

Linkage counseling fund is available to subsidize partial counseling fees for people who need counselling but are experiencing financial difficulties. All subsidy applications are subject to approval. Linkage counseling subsidy is donated by individual sponsors and churches. Please contact us for more details.

Counselling is available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

2)**Richmond CCM Centre (2320-8260, 2/F, Westminster Highway, Richmond Public Market)

Linkage office hours (Bby): 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday
Counselling hours: Call in for free intake assessment & by appointment (apart from the office hours; some counsellors take clients on some weekday’s evenings and Saturdays)

Change / Cancellation: Usual counselling fee will be applied if noticed is less than 24 hours.

Our Advisors

Dr. Grace Ko 高劉寶慈博士

Dr. Anthony Lo盧春生醫生, 傳道, MBBS, M. Div.

Dr. Lo is a volunteer Pastor of NSPMB Church, leader couple of CFFC, member of CCM Linkage Advisory Committee and Linkage volunteer counsellor focusing on marriage and pre-marital counselling.

Kallen Fong 梁方嘉倫律師, barrister & solicitor

Since 1999, Kallen Fong has been serving the communities in Vancouver as a family lawyer. Her areas of practice include all issues arising from the breakdown of marital relationships and child protection matters. Kallen believes in empowering the clients to envision the best possible future for their re-structured families and to equip them to achieve the vision. While mostly experienced in litigation, Kallen is steering her practice towards mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Kallen is married with two young children. She is a novice preschool Sunday School teacher at her church, St. John’s Vancouver Church.

Stanley Ng 吳善仁先生

Stanley Ng is the Director of TXL insurance Agency Inc. in Vancouver, BC. He and his wife Vonnie live in Burnaby and attend the Vancouver Chinese Lutheran Church. Stanley’s regular ministry service includes teaching Sunday school on regular basis and sermon preaching once a month. He is currently seeking ordination as a vocational deacon at the church; the date of consecration is tentatively set for June 2013.

Stanley has served on several boards, most recently for 5 years with Ontrack leadership Institute and as chairman of the board for 10 years with Chinese Family for Christ. And Stanley continues to serve as a voluntary chaplain in prison ministry, a role in which he has served for over 25 years.
